The Multicultural Liaison Officer (MLO) program provides support in multiple languages for students and families who are newcomers and refugees. The Multicultural Liaison Officer works with school staff to welcome newcomer families and connect them with important services, resources, and supports within our school and in the local community.
Majdwleen Al Garny is the Multicultural Liaison Officer at our school. Majdwleen speaks English and Arabic and can also help you access support in other languages.

Bio:
Majdwleen has been with OCISO since 2022. Majdwleen loves supporting newcomer families and helping them settle in Canada.
Before joining OCISO, Majdwleen worked as a Social Worker in Saudi Arabia for 5 years. Majdwleen has a Bachelor Degree in Social Work, a Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Human Development, and is a Certified Life Coach.
In their free time, Majdwleen enjoys reading, self-learning, traveling, and meditation. Majdwleen believes that “teamwork makes the dream work.”
