We acknowledge that our learning is taking place on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory. We thank the Algonquin Nation for hosting us and recognize their enduring presence on this land.

Our School

Arch Street Public School (Grades JK to 6) provides a safe, supportive environment where student learning is the focus of an educational partnership among students, dedicated staff, parents, and the community. Strong emphasis is placed on quality programming that promotes the acquisition and development of literacy and numeracy skills, the foundations of future success. The staff works with students and parents in a sincere and serious effort to help meet students' educational, social and emotional needs.

Our Students

Arch Street Public School has an enrolment of 165 students, representing cultural heritages and languages from many countries. We celebrate our diversity and work together in a positive learning environment with the goal of educating our students for success by inspiring learning and building citizenship.

Our Staff

Arch Street School has a caring and devoted staff. The teachers, educational assistants, early childhood educators, office staff and custodial staff work collaboratively to provide a clean, safe and caring environment in which the students are supported and encouraged in their academic and social endeavours.

The staff has expertise in numerous areas and is therefore able to provide a variety of programs, both academic and extra-curricular. The staff is continually being in-serviced about curriculum changes, effective instructional and assessment practices, advances and changes in technology, and health and safety issues. The focus of the staff is on excellence – for themselves as professionals and for the students as learners
